Three weeks after Hurricane Maria's devastating landfall, Global Relief Partners continues to provide critical support to affected communities across the Gulf Coast.

Key Updates

• 15 shelters remain operational, housing 3,200 residents (down from 8,400 at peak)
• Over 350,000 meals served to date
• Mobile medical units have treated 5,800 patients since the response began
• Debris removal operations underway in 8 counties
• 1,200 families have received temporary housing assistance

Challenges

• Power outages persist in 6 counties, affecting water supply and communications
• Road damage limiting access to rural communities
• Rising demand for mental health support services
