Earthquake Response - Central Turkey

A 7.1 magnitude earthquake struck central Turkey, causing widespread destruction in several provinces. Global Relief Partners activated its international rapid response team within hours.

Response Activities

• Deployed search and rescue teams with specialized equipment
• Established field hospitals treating 1,800 patients
• Distributed 10,000 winterized shelter kits to families
• Provided psychosocial support to 5,000 affected individuals
• Set up water purification systems serving 25,000 people daily

Partnerships

We are coordinating closely with Turkish emergency management authorities (AFAD), the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), and local NGO partners.
